Directions to conference

The Midwest Ecology and Evolution Conference will be held at Jordan Hall of Science at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.

A number of hotels are within walking distance of the University.  There are also lodging options in nearby Mishawaka, IN.

The Inn at St. Mary’s is within walking distance of the university, and has agreed to give a special rate of $99 per night if you mention you are with the Midwest Ecology and Evolution Conference!  Important note:  This rate is good only if you make your room reservation on or before February 22nd!

The Fairfield Inn & Suites is located across Edison Rd. from the university and is within walking distance to Notre Dame.  You can find more information on their website.

Less expensive options are available, located north of Notre Dame on 933, as well as in Mishwaka.  Most of these hotels will require a car.


Notre Dame is within driving distance of many Midwestern universities; however, there are several public transportation options available.

For those that would like to fly, South Bend Regional Airport is approximately 5 miles west of campus.  There is an Amtrak station in downtown South Bend approximately 4 miles south west of campus.  Finally, the South Shore Line runs trains several times per day from Chicago to South Bend Regional Airport.

Parking is available for visitors in the Notre Dame Stadium parking lot (lot C1 just south of the stadium).  From there it is a short walk to Jordan Hall of Science.
